The bedrooms at West Cottage were incredibly comfortable, providing a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The swimming pool and beautiful gardens were a delightful addition to our stay. We also enjoyed the convenience of the well-equipped bathroom facilities.
One drawback was the outdated and misleading information about local pub and restaurant facilities. Unfortunately, we were unable to find a place to have a meal on the Sunday night of our arrival, which would have been helpful to know in advance.

Helpful and friendly host. Thoughtful touches such as essentials in the fridge and organic eggs.- Swimming pool for a refreshing dip
Lack of specific information about garbage disposal and pool maintenance. Kitchen sink could use a bowl to prevent water wastage.

We got great value for our money at West Cottage. The room was cozy and comfortable, with spacious bathrooms and a lovely wood burner for chilly evenings. The location in the small village of Piddletrenthide was peaceful and picturesque, and the owner treated us with kindness and provided helpful local information.
Breakfast items could have been more varied.

The location of the cottage was absolutely beautiful, nestled in a small village with a peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed the cozy and quirky feel of the cottage, especially the wood burner which was perfect for chilly evenings. The fact that we could help ourselves to wood from the owner's wood store was a nice touch. The grounds were picturesque and we can only imagine how lovely it would be to use the pool during the Summer. The two bathrooms were spacious and warm, and we appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. The complimentary Dorset apple cake and fresh milk were a lovely welcome treat.
One major downside of our stay was the owner's disorganization. Despite confirming in writing that we would have a late check-out, the owner forgot about it and we had to rush out to make room for the next guests.

The cottage was warm and comfortable, with a cozy log fire. The master bedroom had an ensuite, while the kid's room was comfortable with a toy box for entertainment. The location was great for exploring nearby coastlines and enjoying the peaceful village setting. Milk, fresh bread, and orange juice were a welcoming touch.

We recently stayed at a lovely cottage in a quiet location in the village of Piddletrenthide. The cottage was part of the owner's house but provided total privacy, which was perfect for our group of four adults. The cozy and quirky atmosphere, along with the wood burner for cooler evenings, made for a delightful stay. We particularly enjoyed being able to help ourselves to wood from the owner's wood store. The grounds were beautifully maintained and we can imagine how great the pool would be to use in the summer. The kitchen may have been small, but it was equipped with everything we needed. The spacious and warm bathrooms were a great bonus. We highly recommend the nearby Thimble Inn for its friendly service and delicious food. The thoughtful gesture of leaving a Dorset apple cake and fresh milk was much appreciated.
One drawback was the poor Wi-Fi coverage upstairs, and there was an issue with one of the windows in the twin bedroom not being able to lock. While there were a few maintenance and crockery/cutlery items that needed addressing, the owner was responsive and grateful for our feedback.
